Scepter Capital
Privacy policy
Effective October 24, 2026
Who we are
Scepter Capital Partners Limited ("Scepter", "we", "us") provides mergers and acquisitions advisory services. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal information through sceptercapital.net, including the forms you use to download our resources.
Our privacy contact is Alex Balca, who is accountable for how we handle personal information. Reach him at info@sceptercapital.net.
What we collect
- When you request a resource: your name, company name and work email, whether you agreed to receive marketing emails, which resource and page you used, and the date and time.
- When you complete the scorecard: your answers and your score.
- When you contact us or book a consultation: the information you choose to share with us.
- Automatically: technical information from our website host and our analytics provider, PostHog, such as IP address and approximate location, browser and device type, how you reached our site, the pages you visit and the links you click. See Website analytics and session recordings below.
How we use it
- To send you the resource you asked for.
- To follow up about your request, for example to check the resource was useful or to offer a conversation.
- To send occasional notes on buying companies, only if you ticked the box to receive them.
- To respond to your questions, run and secure our website, and meet our legal obligations.
We do not use your information to make automated decisions about you.
Your consent
By submitting a form, you consent to us using your information to deliver the resource and follow up about it. We send marketing emails only with your express consent, given by ticking the box on the form. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us.
Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your personal information. We share it only:
- with service providers who help us run our business, such as website hosting, website analytics, form processing, email delivery and customer relationship management. They are bound to protect it and to use it only for our purposes;
- with our professional advisers, under a duty of confidentiality;
- where the law requires it; and
- as part of a merger, sale or reorganization of our business, in which case the recipient must protect it as this policy describes.
Where it is stored
Our service providers may store and process your information outside Canada, including in the United States and the European Union. While it is there, it is subject to local law and may be accessible to authorities in that country.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. We generally delete or anonymize resource-request records 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you have become a client or have agreed to receive our emails.
How we protect it
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards suited to the sensitivity of the information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your rights
You can ask to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, withdraw your consent, or have it deleted. Email us and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are in Canada and are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also have rights under data protection law, including to object to processing and to complain to your local supervisory authority. If you live in a U.S. state with a consumer privacy law, you may have similar rights, and you can use them by emailing us.
Website analytics and session recordings
We use PostHog, an analytics service hosted in the United States, to understand how our website is used. It records the pages you visit, the links you click and how far you scroll, and it makes session recordings that replay how a page was used. Anything you type into a form is hidden from these recordings. If you submit a form, we link your earlier visits to our site to the details you submitted, so we know which content was useful to you. If you start a form and don't submit it, we record which fields were filled in, never what you typed. To have this data deleted, email us.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies, including PostHog's, to recognise returning visitors and understand how our website is used. We may add advertising tags (for example from LinkedIn) in future. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Where the law requires your consent for these tools, we will ask for it.
Children
Our website and resources are for business professionals and are not directed to anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the effective date above, and for significant changes we will tell you by email if we hold your address.
